RAINSCREEN
This part is mostly unknown by the public as it's been added to the code not long ago.
This is basically a space created between your house heating layer and your siding to allow the airflow to move. It prevent the build up of moisture on your outside walls which can lead to mold.
We achieve this result by adding wood treated strappings between the newly added building membrane and your new siding.
In order to prevent any bug/insects/vermin infiltrations we virtually block any gaps with a perforated bug screen which let circulate the only thing you want in your wall: the air.
FLASHING
Once again, this is the bc building code which we apply to the letter.
On every opening, deck, roof surface, accessories or any other spot that is critical for water infiltration. We make sure that we install the right flashing that will protect your house.
You want the water away and not on your house.
DECK FRAMING
One of our favourite and definitely a task you don’t want some average carpenters to do.
At Awesome Exterior we build to last. We use proper fasteners and proper materials paired with our knowledge about weight transfers and bearing points. All this, once again, according to the Canadian code.
STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
Unfortunately, this is required in some cases. maybe your house been neglected in the past. Maybe they filled the landscape too high, maybe the roof or siding was leaking.
At Awesome Exterior, these are things we can fix ourselves without astronomical costs like some specialize contractor do. Just ask for their rates and feel free to compare it to us. Any work of this type will be done in full transparency with digital documentation so you know exactly what is going on and what we have to do.
